Kenyon Hill Farm

The Farm

Our neighbors Mike and Donna Nolan run a 300 cow dairy farm with their three sons Curtis, Shane, and Ryan. We stop at the farm to tour the milking parlor and give milking a try. We learn about their decision to expand the farm, their move to milking three times a day, and we take a moment run our hands through the sand bedding where the cows sleep. We will walk the barn and get familiar with the language of a dairy farm: heifer, replacement cows, Holsteins, silage, and more!

The economic impact of dairy in New York is over 10 billion dollars and it is our state's number one agricultural business. We work to put a face on the statistics and give campers a chance to learn, first-hand about the industry.
