Farm Camp at Flying Pigs Farm is the only program of its kind that works to build a strong and viable future for New York State farmers by educating leaders in the food service, food media, and food advocacy sectors about where good food comes from. In order to secure a safe and dependable food supply, we need a healthy and productive land base managed by economically viable farmers. To meet this goal, Farm Camp offers unique and cost-effective strategies that empower individuals to take action in support of farms, increase appreciation for locally-produced farm products, and raise awareness about the need to preserve our remaining agricultural resources.

Each session of Farm Camp costs approximately $9,000 to to put on, even after fees are collected from campers. We've made a concerted effort to keep fees for Farm Camp as low as possible in order to encourage participants from all walks of life. However, by doing this, we must find private donations in order to cover the costs of running camp.
