Transportation to Flying Pigs Farm is not included in the cost of camp. There are many affordable options for getting to Washington County. We've listed some of the resources below and will work with you to get here in a timely and cost effective way. Please contact us with any transportation questions, issues, or ideas. If you're interested in carpooling or sharing a rental let us know and we'll hook you up with other campers from your session.

Campers can be picked up and dropped off at the Albany-Rensselaer Bus or Train Stations. Check www.Amtrak.com www.TrailwaysNY.com and www.GoToBus.com for current rates and schedules. Or bring your own car/ rental and spend a few extra days fishing on the world famous Battenkill River.

From New York City
Take the Bronx River Parkway to the Sprain Brook to the Taconic Parkway north. Follow the Taconic Parkway north for about 2 and a half hours, almost until the end of the Parkway. Take the exit for 295 east toward "East Chatham." Follow 295 east for 10 miles to Rte. 22. Turn left onto Rte. 22 North. (If you miss the 295 exit from the Taconic, continue on the Taconic for another 2 miles until it ends at I-90. Go east on I-90 for one exit. Take the last exit in New York State (B3) onto Rte. 22 North.) Continue on 22 through the towns of Lebanon, Hoosick Falls, and Cambridge. Drive SLOWLY through Cambridge (police). Continue straight through the 22/372 intersection in Cambridge (Rite Aid). Two miles north of this intersection, turn right at the flashing light from Rte. 22 onto Rte. 64. At the end of the field, bear left, staying on 64 (don't cross the railroad tracks). Stay on 64 for about 1 and a half miles. Turn left at the dairy farm onto Sutherland Road (if you cross the river, you have gone about a quarter mile too far) and follow for 1 mile to our house. It's yellow, and it will be on your right. (About 3 and a half hours, including 1 hour from I-90.)

From the Massachusetts Turnpike
Take the Mass Pike west into New York State. Take the first New York State exit (B3) onto Rte. 22 North. Continue on 22 through the towns of Lebanon, Hoosick Falls, and Cambridge. Drive SLOWLY through Cambridge (police). Continue straight through the 22/372 intersection in Cambridge (Rite Aid). Two miles north of this intersection, turn right at the flashing light from Rte. 22 onto Rte. 64. At the end of the field, bear left, staying on 64 (don't cross the railroad tracks). Stay on 64 for about 1 and a half miles. Turn left at the dairy farm onto Sutherland Road (if you cross the river, you have gone about a quarter mile too far) and follow for 1 mile to our house. It's yellow, and it will be on your right. (About 3 and a half hours from Boston, including 1 hour from MA-NY line).

From Saratoga Springs/ The Northway (I87)
Take Rte. 29 east (there is an exit for Rte. 29 from the Northway/I-87), through the towns of Schuylerville and Greenwich. A few miles outside of Greenwich, look for a small sign for "Battenville". Slow down or you will miss the turn! Just past this sign, turn right on Rte. 61 east, crossing a ONE-lane steel deck bridge. Follow 61, which makes a few turns (right, immediate left) so pay attention to signs. Follow 61 up and over a hill to Rte. 22, which you will reach at the bottom of the hill. Cross 22 and stay on 61, which will require a small jog to the left onto 22 and then an immediate right (pond to your left). Follow 61 up and over a hill. At the bottom of the hill, DO NOT cross the steel deck bridge into Shushan, but turn right onto Sutherland Road. We are the third house on the left. It's painted yellow. (Note: if you miss the bridge in Battenville, continue on 29 to the end. Then turn right and go south on 22 to a small pond and 61. Turn left onto 61 east.) (About 40 minutes.)

From Albany and Troy
Take 787 north or I-87 north toward Troy to Rte 7 east. Follow 7, crossing the bridge over the Hudson River into Troy. At the end of the bridge, get into the left hand lane and turn left onto Rte. 40 north. Follow Rte. 40 for about 15 or 20 minutes to the town of Schagticoke (SCA-tee-coke). At the light in front of the fairgrounds, turn right onto Rte. 67 east. Take the first left onto Geary Road and continue straight. When you reach the first stop sign, it becomes Kardas Road. Continue straight through the stop sign onto Kardas. After a while, it becomes Beadle Hill Road. You will pass a sheep farm on your right, and some greenhouses on your left. At the second stop sign (several miles after the first stop sign), there is a small cluster of houses. Turn right and go down a short, steep hill. At the bottom of the hill is another stop sign. Go sort of straight/bearing left (11 o'clock) onto Center Cambridge Road, passing a farm on your left. Continue on Center Cambridge Road for several miles. Pass straight through another stop sign. Center Cambridge Road ends on Rte. 372. Turn right onto Rte. 372 (West Main Street) and go into downtown Cambridge. Drive SLOWLY through Cambridge (police). Turn left at the light (Cumberland Farms) onto Route 22 north. Two miles north of this intersection, turn right at the flashing light from Rte. 22 onto Rte. 64. At the end of the field, bear left, staying on 64 (don't cross the railroad tracks). Stay on 64 for about 1 and a half miles. Turn left at the dairy farm onto Sutherland Road (if you cross the river, you have gone about a quarter mile too far) and follow for 1 mile, through a stop sign, to our house. It's yellow, and it will be on your right. (About 1 hour.)

From Vermont
From Rte. 7 or Rte. 7A., take Rte. 313 west from Arlington into New York State. Turn right onto Hickory Hill Road. At the end of Hickory Hill Road, turn left onto Rte. 61. Follow 61 into the village of Shushan. Cross the railroad tracks. About 100 yards past the railroad tracks and Yushak's Store, turn left and drive over the steel deck bridge. Take immediate left onto Sutherland Road. We are the third house on left. It's painted yellow. (About 15 minutes from Arlington)

From North Adams/ Williamstown
Take Rte. 2 west to Rte. 7 North. Follow Rte 7 north. A few miles north of Williamstown, turn left onto Rte. 346 north and follow through North Pownal, Vermont. Cross the bridge into New York State. Two miles from the state line, just past a gray barn on right, turn right onto Rte. 95 (if you miss the turn for 95, continue straight and pick up 22 north to Cambridge). Cross the railroad tracks and turn left at the end of the bridge. Follow for about 2 miles to NY Rte. 7. Carefully cross NY Rte. 7 and continue straight into Hoosick Falls. At light (bank on right), turn right onto Rte. 22 north. Follow Rte. 22 north to Cambridge. Drive SLOWLY through Cambridge (police). Continue straight through the 22/372 intersection in Cambridge (Rite Aid). Two miles north of this intersection, turn right at the flashing light from Rte. 22 onto Rte. 64. At the end of the field, bear left, staying on 64 (don't cross the railroad tracks). Stay on 64 for about 1 and a half miles. Turn left at the dairy farm onto Sutherland Road (if you cross the river, you have gone about a quarter mile too far) and follow for 1 mile to our house. It's yellow, and it will be on your right.
